Suzanne Eaton has performed in opera, oratorio, light opera, recital, gospel, musicals and music festivals all across the U.S. and parts of Europe. With her Masters in Music Performance from U. of Maryland she’s enjoyed Music/Worship, Choral Director, and Chamber Singer positions for various churches, groups and schools in Southern California, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maryland, and summer stock as well as maintaining a private voice/piano/coaching studio. In these positions she organized/directed many Christmas and Easter pagents and July 4th celebrations.
Loving history and things historic, she and her husband, James, relocated to Maine from California in April of 2014 , also to “escape” the dull weather! She’s taught a singing classes for The New Surry Theatre in Blue Hill and been Musical Director for GSA’s student musicals and given recitals in area, including the return of “The great ship “L’Hermione” into Castine. Her desires for new challenges led her to take Organ lessons. She “lept” at the opportunity to utilize this new skill on the organ and direct the choir at the Trinitarian Congregational Parish of Castine. Her desire is to glorify God by sharing her love for and enjoyment in making music with all.
