planned giving
TCP celebrated its bicentennial in 2020. For over 200 years, members and
friends have joined together to sustain and perpetuate our missions and
ministries. Along the way, some have chosen a planned giving strategy as a
way to safeguard our future physical presence in Castine, our missions and
ministries, and our steadfast resolve to love God and love others. Some
simply wanted to say thank you for reasons explained or not.
Because planned giving is a formal, structured way to ensure that your
intentions are honored, it is typically an important part of your estate planning.
Although it may be most common for TCP to receive a bequest or life
insurance proceeds, there are many options to consider and discuss with your
financial advisor and/or attorney. Sometimes a person’s planned giving
intentions are made known to us in advance and at other times they are
revealed when a person’s estate is finalized. Either way, we are always
grateful for each and every gift.
Please let us know if you need additional
information by contacting the church office at 207-326-9486.
